Thumbs up New Install TEIN SS Coilovers!!

Just wanted to show you guys my new Tein suspension installed! Here are some pics...I bought the coilovers from Prostreet Motorsports in Hayward, CA and had them install it. I also had my Weapon R engine dampner installed at the same time. What a difference in shifting! The ride is by far smoother than stock and I have the suspension setup at 8 clicks all the way around to start out as a baseline. The suspension has settled and I will adjust the height in another day or two once it is fully settled. Raining in CA so the shots are under cloud cover......

I paid $1,130....tax not included...install was $140 for all 4....Not bad at all..I saw prices a hundred more and a couple just under this price but shipping was not included so I ended up at about the best price...in my opinion...since they are local...I didnt have to pay for shipping.

Thumbs up

Theres a shop next to my office and I plan on adjusting the height tomorrow. Alignment shop is next door, that next...so no new updates...except the ride is great compared to stock. I havent found myself higher than 10 on the settings...anything higher feels track ready....8 is all around smooth and soaks up the small iregularities of the roads....especially at speed....6 takes it to an even softer level but then cornering is impacted...not bad but a noticeable amount compared to settings at 8 all around. I'll fill you guys in after tomorrow....thanks for your comments and your props!!

Looks good! Your ride height- is that the way they were set up from Tein? I love the look but I don't know if I can go that low in NJ- the Land of Potholes. I've been looking for a better riding suspension - you get real comforrt on bumpy roads? If so, this could be for me. Can't wait for your ride height update.

The height used to come pre-set from Tein ...... not anymore....I told ProStreet Motorsports to match a car that was in the shop....it is too low for my taste.

These coilovers are Height Adjustable. You can go up or down! You can go higher that stock if you want! Would look gay but you could! You can set the system up to your liking....and btw, its also 16 way adjustable...like I mentioned before...softer or stiffer than stock...whatever you're in the mood for. Enjoy. Highly recommended. Potholes are better soaked up than stock...thats all i gotta say.

Thanks SilverShadow. How about new pics? Also new driving impression since raising the car on the SS coilovers changes (reduces) the spring preload (to the best of my knowledge - that is a difference between SS and FLEX). Do you notice any difference?

Are you using EDFC? If not, how hard is it to change damper setting on rears?

Thanks again for sharing you info!

Finally !! All set and aligned!! The ride quality is awesome on normal roads with minor imperfections...the suspension tightens up imediately when pushed or going through dips.....I have it set right now at 6 clicks on the fronts and 8 in the rears...i haven't touched the rears but i plan to see what 6 clicks will be like....i'll post new pics on saturday....overall completely satisfied.....
