tanabe gp210 springs
tanabe gf210 springs
i was interested in purchasing these springs for my evo, as i am in the same boat w/ many others in not wanting to spend a fortune in suspension. just wondering to those who use these springs, have you had any trouble w/ them. have they lasted a while. any damage to stock shocks. any info you can give would be helpful. thanks in advance!

I was going to go with the GF210 but it lowerd the car to much for my likeing have a friend with them on his EVO, then i looked in to the Espelir ASD and saw the drop isn't as bad and the Rates are better. Bought some and now i want to go with the K-sport's so they are for sale if you want them new in the box $200 to your door.
i have had the tanabe 210s on my car for about 18 mo. and have had no problems with them. i did a track day with them on and the instructor who did a few laps in my car said that the car handled as well as any other evo he had driven. i look at my shocks often and have not noticed and major leaking or other adverse effects of using the springs. i think the ride height is just right for fair weather driving. i am going to switch to muellerized buddy clubs this spring, more track days next summer

they have them here for 159 +free shipping, which seems like a good deal.
i dont do any track or drag racing, just street use. just looking for a more aggressive appearance. thanks so far, anyone else?

I've had them on since mid-September, and they have their pros and cons:
Pros:
1) Good stance (nicely raked)
2) A lot less body roll
3) Firmer than stock, but still has a decent ride (note: not brutal)
4) Way cheaper than coilovers
5) If you're going with wheels/tires that fill the wheel well, it looks amazing
Cons:
1) Noticable loss of crisp turn in
2) Lights are aimed to low (even on the highest setting)
3) That 1.5 inch drop doesn't sound like much, but you have to be very cautious with any sort of steep driveway
4) If you go with 35 series tires like me, it gets brutal on uneven pavement
I was worried about becoming a snow plow, and you will in deep stuff, but I got through 4 inches of Wisconsin/Illinois snow without incident thus far.
One thing I have noticed is that after the springs were installed, the car seems to push the outside tire more under hard turing. This could be due to the front being more raked in the front.

yeah, I have them too. They're great. Here are a couple of threads I wrote about them:

BTW, like the second poster said, they're GF210

I've had them for about 3 months. Car looks alot better, and the ride is not much harsher. I have Proxes 4 all-seasons, so that helps soften the ride compared to the Advans. I haven't been able to do any serious driving with them yet to report on that, but for the daily commute, they're fine. 4Pistons review is pretty good. But as for the headlights, they can be adjusted. There's a how-to somewhere on here.
Overall: for not much money, they're worth it.
