I havent checked my pads lately. How long did they last? I'm at 24000 miles. Also I just noticed this the other day. When I am breaking really hard, the break light comes on. The light only lit for a 1 sec during heavy breaking. Dose this mean that it time for new pads?

I will be doing a oil change and rotating the wheels next week. so I'll check then.

If your talking about the brake light coming on in the rear then that is normal but if your talking about your brake light coming on in the guage panel then that is not a normal thing because that has to do with your e-brake, it has nothing to do with your braking. Strange that it would come on during hard braking.

That is what I was thinking. I might have to look more into it. The break light in the guage panel.

^^^also at 24,000 it wouldn't hurt to check your pads. If your a hard driver most likely they need to be replaced but if your not your probably good to go for a little longer.

I stand corrected in my last statment. Apparently your brake light coming on could be in result to your pads. If your pads are worn this could cause displacement in your brake fluid. Might as well eliminate all possiblities by checking everything.

Yeah I dug up the other thread and posted on there as well. I am guessing it's a combo of all three, E-brake, pads, or fluid.
