This past weekend I ran a NASA event out at Buttonwillow raceway and there were 3 others Evo's there equipped with an Autopower roll hoop. I had been comtemplating on just going with the Autopower (under severe pressure from a worrying girlfriend) but after closer examination of the mounting points I just can't do it.

Autopower mounts this thing against thin gauge sheet metal at multiple points that, in a severe roll over would just punch through (no personal experience here. just the word and agreement from fellow racers and cage builders).

I'm hoping (with baited breath) that the new design from The Race Shop is built with these safety concerns in mind (pics, Hurry!!!) but if not I'm biting the bullit and going with a custom weld-in, which means GOODBYE TRADE IN VALUE!!!!

Fuel Cell) that willl be finally be released /powder coated /and not cheap but very very user friendly.
Available for Sunroof and non Sunroof cars
One more thing it also has optional seat supports.Which are now required.

The fact that the rear seats will be useable on non-track days is huge and the one thing that differentiates this rollbar from all others. I'm very excited.

If you're not happy with the footprint of the bar, increase it.

It's something i've thought about, but again, if you're THAT hardcore, you need a full cage.

An autopower is for the occasional (one a month) kinda guy.

A cage is for the competitive guy that wants that last .2 second. If you plan on doing serious rolls, a roll bar, no matter the name, isn't gonna protect you, you need a cage.

just found this on another forum, sucks for us.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you guys know that I have deleted all of my posts. The reason is that I've been an aftermarket supplier for the last 12 years for a number of companys and I thought it was time to start selling direct. (retail)
I was warned that I would be destroyed if I pursued that. Some got ahold of my passwords and were modifying my posts and sending fake PM's. I have noticed there is a different tone in the last couple of months when I'm trying to commuicate with the member about their orders.

I don't want to go into the details about what has happened but there were alot of false accounts setup claiming to be me. This was done to try to ruin my reputaion and make me look like a weirdo.

I don't have alot of experience with the computer but I hired someone to look into what has been going on and it's disturbing to say the least.

My internet days are over but I will have to find another way to distribute my products. The Race Shop will be the brand name but I won't be posting anymore. I don't have the time it takes to defend myself from a small group of people that want to make sure that I fail. I would like to add that I DON"T have a "My Space" account.

I will however be building all of the parts that we have been discussing over the past few months.

Luckily none of my financial records are on the computer that was hacked. The roll bar orders are on hand written order forms so there is no risk of anyone tampering with them either.

I will be communicating through PM's until the roll bar orders are filled.

Thank you
Larry
