Question Steel Wheels?

Ok Im new so please go easy on me if my questions seem crazy...I was wondering if anyone ever used 15" steel wheels and winter tires on the EVO for some harsh winters with Harsh pitted pot holed roads. Why is it so important to use 17's? I assume because of the ACD settings?

15's wont clear the stock brembo's unless you want to swap them out for some regular lancer brakes your SOL

I run 235/45/17 Blizzaks WS-50's
Car is way too much fun to drive to put it away for the winter.

205/60-16 ws-50's(16x5 rims). Drive thru snow higher than the hood with no problem. Get's around far better than my 06 F-350 4x.
