Anti-lock brakes
what is you guys' input on the anti-lock brakes? do you like them or would you prefer not to have them?

I love them. My last civic did not have abs and I would hit the brakes hard and the wheels would lock up which would cause the car to slide. My evo does have abs and I feel like I can stop quicker when abs kicks in. It is also easier to steer around (any danger) when your wheels don't lock up.

yeah thats why i posted because if its raining or snowing it is almost worthless or it feels like it any way. it may help but it just doesnt feel like it when they kick in. yeah i have an si with no anti lock and it is a toss up.
Personally I love anti-lock brakes with EBD and think they are well worth it. I think it helps lower stopping distances and while preventing lock up and keeping the car under the driver's control.

If a driver has lost control of their vehicle because the brakes are (not have) locked it's not because of a lack of ABS. That is driver error.
If you want and/or need a computer to do your braking for you that's fine.
Brakes don't lock on their own. The driver locks the brakes. The ability to lock the brakes adds to driver control it doesn't take it away from it. In fact, it can even be useful sometimes.

I'm with Geo on this one. ABS is useless in bad weather and on the track. They are cute for around town but are seriously not needed. Being smooth with your braking input will benefit you a lot more than ABS will.
