Voltex Setup: Final decision exposed!

Well, as some of you know I'm trying to run the Voltex rear wide fenders, and have been trying to figure out what size/offset is best. I had put a deposit on a set of Volk TE37 in 18x9.5+22, but turns out Mackin sold the fronts to a Z owner.

So, I was back at the beginning. The Francis @ ASpec told me he could get the following, and assured me it would look SICK on my setup. So.....without further adoo.

Work XD9
18x10+17 rears
18x9 +20 front

Bronze in color.

Going to run 285/275 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS all around.

Your thoughts and suggestions?

When you run a stagger setup, make sure the overall diameter of the front and rear tires are the same.

Yeh, I called ASpec looking for a different wheel and they tried to talk me into the new Work Emotions. I decided to stick with my original choice so I got these today:

WedsSport SA-70 in 18x10 +32

Depending on the color of you car these might be another choice for a widebody.

Also, what is your reasoning behind getting the Goodyears? Price, performace, looks? I am not familiar with them. Thanks!

hey stephen, have you thought about doing the front wider than the rear? i know a lot of competition shops in japan do it because of our 60/40 weight bias and it's supposed to help.

Goodyears have a very rounded out edge, so as to help a few mm with clearance issues.

hey s2kstephen,

tell francis @ a-spec that you will need a reverse stagger for the evo, so it would be the 18x10 in the front and 18x9 in the rear. hueman is correct on why they do the reverse stagger for the evo.

if you want, i have an extra set of advan rs gunmetal wheels that will be available soon for our widebody fenders. 18x10 all around just like the original runduce evo.

let me know if interested, if not good luck on your car and can;t wait to see the finished product.
