18" wheels and GF210...
Hey everyone, how much rougher is the ride in an EVO that has 18" wheels and GF210 springs? I want to get new wheels, and 18" looks so much better then 17" to me.
THANKS
THANKS
The springs are stiffer than stock, and with my all-seasons on, the ride is comparable to stock without the handling of the stock advans. Less travel and a stiffer ride make the impact of uneven pavement more jarring. Is it bad... no, but when I put on my 255/35/18 Toyo T1-Rs on, the ride is pretty punishing. It is not horrible, just keep in mind higher spring rates, combined with a lower profile tire, in conjunction with less travel makes for a stiffer and a noticeably more jarring ride... but the grip and less body roll will put a big smile on your face
I have the gf210's and rode a few days with 18" work wheels, it was very nice as expected. I would not use just any spring, it would have to be the gf210's or the espeliars, nothing else.
Less body roll.... I didn't notice it being too much stiffer, then again, my car is pretty new. I 'll try and update you in a couple weeks after a road course day. Only difference is I will be using my stock wheels then.
