Review of Swift/Whiteline Combo

Last week I installed the Swift springs, whiteline bump steer correction kit and trailing arm bushings on my 03 GSR. I was hesitant to do springs but I am so happy that I did. These spring rates (269lbs/inch front 319lbs/inch rear) seem to be a better match for the dampers than stock. Not only does the car become much more civilized on the road, it also greatly reduces body roll. The drop is perfect for my setup (35mm front 20mm rear). No problem with parking lots and such even with my splitter (for now). I tracked the car at Pocono's North course last week and it handled like it was on rails. No bump steer at all and the car was better able to communicate with me without the stock body roll. I ran my hotchkis sway bar on full stiff and the car felt completly nuetral. I thought that I may have an oversteer problem after the springs, but I was wrong. Overall I am very happy with the setup. Big thanks to Andrew at GT WORX for getting me all of the parts so quick!

really glad to see you're happy with the set-up......the swifts are one of those few springs that just work!

Thanks,
Andrew

Great to hear, as I just installed mine and have yet to track them. They do seem stiffer than stock, and the drop is perfect, not too low as you stated. I think I may go to Willow Springs next week with SpeedtrialUSA. Peace.

Hi - nice to hear about swift springs. I will be installing mine later on

I have the same question as 'ringmeister about the bump steer kit and trailing arm bushing kit? Also, prices would help! I need to order these two before starting on my car

Thanks!

Hello,

What would you like to know?

To give you a good idea of the kit, I've uploaded the instructions to a PDF file.

The trailing arm bushings are just like any other bushing upgrade...take a little slop out of the car, improve sharpness and response, etc...

The bumpsteer kit is similar in that it improves steering feel, sharpness, but with the added benefit of reducing bump steer by reducing changes in toe as the suspension compresses.

Installation isn't any harder then it is to install most bushings....hopefully EvoTech will chime in here to give his feedback on installation.
