Angry Brembos finally peeling?

Well here's a pic. Just saw this recently as I was inspecting all the calipers. I know that brake fluid can ruin them but I have never bled the brakes(yet) and the paint on them was fine when I first bought the car 10k miles ago. Is it just normal that the paint job on the calipers is just bad?

Go to your local dealership I brought mine back to the dealership I bought mine from and they replaced both fronts and one of the rears that where all peeling just like yours they did take pic's first then got approval and caled me the next day to tell me when they would have them. Good luck also it might help if you print out all of us who have posted that they have been fixed under warranty.

^+1...I think it's a problem with all of the '03s and will happen eventually. I just got my local dealership to replace my front two calipers. Unfortunately he wouldn't do the back two - I'm sure they will start peeling eventually.

One of my front calipers is exactly like your. I found this when I swapped wheels last weekend (snow for summer). That said this weekend one of my rear calipers now has failing clear coat that wasn't present one week ago.

Sand them down with 400 grit and then reclear them , and they will look brand new

If it's only the clear coat then you might be able to get away with that but in my case it was the actual paint as well as the clear coat. All in all your idea is great but the best is still to get it replaced under warranty like I did, and even if your warranty has expired I know of a few guys who the dealership replaced them anyway at no charge to them. If you can't then re-doing them is your only option then just make sure your using a high temp clear coat for use on brake calipers. Or you will be in the same bout and have to do the work all over again. Best of luck
