stock suspension problem

Last night, before I started leaving, I turned my wheel to straighten up and start leaving. When I did turn my wheel, I heard a loud squeek. Never heard before. I checked it out and it turns out that the front passenger spring is also turning along with the steering. Does anybody know an easy way to fix it??? I'm gonna take it apart and check everything, I just like to know what are some things I should look at.

This is on a 2006 evo 9, stock suspension. I'm not sure if i can take it back to dealership b/c I have other mods on the car and not sure if warranty is voided.
Please help. Thanks

I'm not really sure what's wrong with the suspension. I seem to can't find where the squeeking is coming from. I just know it's from the front passenger suspension. Also, When i'm driving, the car starts to steer to one side when i let go of the wheel. When it steers to one side and I jerk the wheel to correct it, it starts to steer to the other side then.

Please help....

The lack of directional control could be serious!!

I (or others) could try and guess what might be wrong but you might hurt yourself, someone else or your car before I figure it out. SO I would highly recommend you see a qualified mechanic ASAP! It Does not have to be mits mechanic if you are worried about warranty.

Have you disassembled any part of your suspensions or steering lately?

You mention mods, what have you done?

Bob

I never touched the suspension. My mods are tbe, koyo radiator, and bov. That's all. Does the dealer have to fix it since my mods aren't suspension related??

Dealer will have to fix with it since your mods are not related to the suspension.

Well, i finally check it myself. I found out that there was a rubber block or so that is placed between the front springs. Well, it went out of place but got stuck in the area, and every time I turn the wheel or so, it would rub and squeek. What a relief and happy that it didn't just drop off and get lost. I put it back in place and good to go.

As for the steering, It comes out to be that all 4 of my tire pressure were different and b/c I had some nails in a couple of my tires. I still need a wheel alignment anyway just to make sure.

What do ya'll think? Could this have solved my problems???

Holy crap! That's a shipping block the dealer should have removed day 1. Yeah, that should definitely take care of you problem.

Also, the front springs do turn with the struts, it's normal. In fact, it would be bad if they didn't.

It appears you said you put the block back in; take it out! It is only supposed to be there for shipping purposes as the other member said. Again, no rubber block should be in any of your springs... I would check the other springs, if they have blocks remove them as well. Take care.

O snap, yea i put it back in. So I guess i'm suppose to take it off? Yea, i figured the strut is suppose to rotate with the tire too. I just came to conclusion too early.
would it be bad to drive with the rubber block still on?? What would happen? I'm guessing nothing really bad b/c it's been on the car since day one. haha I'll take it out when I go outside.
