Beatrush Member Bars Install

I have a set of these I'm going to install. I know how they go on. Its pretty obvious. What I'm concerned about is support for the lower control arm and/or subframe rails when the appropriate bolts are removed. The instructions are in japanese and there are no instructions on their english web site. I've searched for installs for these here on evom and have come up empty. Has anyone actually installed these? If so, did you have to support anything so that the bolts can be removed and nothing is damaged? Any suprises during the install? Thanks.

I didn't have to support anything at all. It's much easier if you have a lift.

The bolt that comes out is almost pretty long. This next pic is of refference:

I assume the idea behind these supports is for strength...but is there really that much flex right there?

I don't know how much flexing there is, but it can't hurt to have more support and chassis rigidity.

well it is a weak point in the chassis and this makes reinforcement. you will get the most flex in that area with quick accel/decel/turns from autox. you other option is to get a 6 point underbar which will eliminate the need for these. problem is, if you need spacers for the regular underbars/four point bars to clear a downpipe, then you can't use a six point underbar cause you can't space the back two points. so your next option is to get a four point bar that can be spaced and then add these.

Just a quick note to clarify what you wrote. In SCCA Solo II autocross, any triangulated or squared off subframe brace seems to be illegal in any class the EVO can compete in, including StreetMod. This includes both the RMR and Cusco lower 5 point bars. I learned the hard way.

Never said I was doing Solo II. I'm building it for fun runs. There are local clubs in my area that just doing it for the enjoyment. Good point to make though.

I know you didn't say that. Just pointing it out for others out there who may be reading. I know it's happened several times to me - bought parts because of great reviews on the forums only to find out they were not legal for my racing class. Just trying to keep it from happening to others.

If I did not participate in Solo2 racing, I would def. have some of these parts on my car! They look NICE.
