The Master crafting of Robi-san

Today I had the joy to tune an IX evo previously aligned by Robi-san of Robi spec (a/k/a Sleeping Beauty) from what the owner told me robi-san has aligned the car recently when he visited NJ for setting up some suspensions

I wanted to give my first hand impressions after driving prob over 1500 evos in the past 3 years that Robi-san does some amazing work and IF you can get the chance get him to align your Evo

Hopefully, my Dyno Flash Evo can reach his hands soon

excuse my ignorance, but how can one alignment be any better than another alignment. I hear rave reviews about Robi and I can see how dampening and height settings can be done very differently, and he does them well, but how can he make an alignment so much better than any other?

Its like saying that one ecu calibration is just like another or one painter is just like another or one engine builder is just like another

I think the art is in knowing HOW to set up the car for the owner's driving style and use and in knowing how to make the proper adjustments

Sadly, this business is filled with "specalists" who proclaim skills which they may or may not have

I know of few import "shops" that even do alignments at all - its an uncommon specalization

Robi is one of the few very gifted and talented individuals who are sharing an opportunity to enjoy something done the way it should be done

Robi used laser guides to do my alignment and explained to me how precise the system really is over the standard alignment rack. My car drives straight as an arrow, and with the 275`s and the wide track front end the car turns effortlessly. keeping my Bilsteins was nice too

when Robi aligns a car he does it to his specific specs. from corner weighting with the driver in it, to specific camber to get the most positive cornering and also the toe adjustment are important because more toe out will give you more turn in so it is all experince so no two alignment will ever be the same because suspension, tire, wheels, horsepower and driver weight can never be exact so Robi set up can be differant from everyone! Who is better is up to the owner of the viechle
