Just got the RMR lower control arm brace

Here's their pic of it...

Couple of things... the production one is black painted steel, fairly heavy 1/4" thick by 1" wide bar stock. Finish was good, as for fit... 4 of the 5 bolt holes lined up fine, but I had to egg out the hole for the front passenger side bolt, a real pain for so thick a metal. The middle bar area has a "bridge" dropping down away from the downpipe for added clearance.

I like the part, but really wonder if going from a tubular style brace (very strong for the weight) to a flat bar style with just a single crossover piece (instead of the stock two tubes) is an improvement.

Just for my peace of mind, I installed the rear stock brace over top of the RMR brace. Figure I have the best of both worlds.

well, rmr knows this car more than the majority of places because they race one so i would trust that this brace is better than stock
