I regained this steering response and feel by adding the Cusco V1 and V2 bars. I am not sure which is the most responsible for the steering response increase, because I added both at the same time. The next step even before being lowered is an adjustable sway bar. I chose the Hotchkis for the price and lightness of the hollow bar. From there on out, there are many directions that you can go.

Did the cusco bars give you any additional downpipe clearance?
I have a Tanabe front underbrace that connects the front control arm mounting points and the stock rear bar points. It actually gives a good amount of additional clearane compared to stock bars. I like that solution a lot better than spacing the factory bars down.

I dont think those bars gave me any more clearance. If it did, it was minimal. I wouldnt run a downpipe that required me to use spacers. It defeats the purpose somewhat of running the lower arm bars.

For those that have downpipes that need additional clearance the Tanabe bars could be an option.
