Prodrive makes them in both a 17x8.5 and 18x8.5 in a +34 offset, both of which are designed to fit the Evo. We are running a special on Prodrive wheels right now, PM me if you are interested

Dan,

Can you get the 18 x 9.5 +36mm or +40mm and will they clear the calipers? I would like to run 265/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza's New RE050A Pole positions which run a bit small for that size. (9.8" tread width) (10.8" section width)They measure closer to most 255's. Also which offset would you recommend to tuck these in without any rubbing. I plan on purchasing the Swift springs real soon, so keep that in mind while considering the offset. Final question: How much will these wheels weigh at the final offset? Thanks!

Prodrive USA sucks, good luck with that. I think they actually dislike us Evo guys.
The Volk CE-28n's are awesome, plus A-Spec products usually keeps the 17x9 in stock.

Can you tell me why you think that Prodrive sucks? Back up your comments. And why you think they dislike us? By the way, I'm looking for 18 x 9 or 9.5 not 17's....... Yo check out the link below. I guess they can't suck too badly if they're contributing to the Evo doing 1 minute flat at the TSUKUBA Circuit......

I called them a few times about various wheels, (GC-06H and GC-010E) and each time they take my number and say they will call me back with info on weight and availability, but they never do. So I wait a month, call back, and they say they have "no plans to import the Evo fitments" for the wheels I am looking at.

It's like no one wants to do any work there to try to sell a wheel.

If I am going to buy something like that, I want to do it from someone who gives a ****.

By the way, I said "Prodrive USA" sucks. Prodrive Japan may be completely kick-***.

Oh, and FYI, HKS ran Tsukuba in 54.739 seconds in their "TRB-02" car and they have just built a new one that is faster. No one else has ever run a 55, much less a 54 at Tsukuba and a 1 minute time isn't exactly impossible.

Prodrive USA can be difficult to get a hold of, but they do import some great products. I would strongly advise you to go through a vendor when trying to get info about Prodrive stuff. The rep that we deal with is extremely helpful and gives us answers right away. Keep in mind though that, as far as wheels, not everything that they make is available in the US. However, some Japanese fitments can be imported if you are willing to wait a couple months, or pay a few hundred dollars for air shipping.

I knew about the HKS vehicle and it's awesome. I was just excited that these Prodrive rims were on this car in general. Did you know that Volk, Japan actually makes the Prodrive GC-05F and it's very light and also forged. It's not as light as the volks because it passes some other tests (possibly TUV) of crashing into a curb at 15mph or something like that and they put slightly more metal in there for this. If you get in touch with a vendor such as Worx for example, they can special order these or have them drop shipped to you from Japan in a 18 x 9.5 +36mm offset and they are just under or around 18lbs. Now if you're looking for a light, forged, good looking traditional 5 spoke, like I am, this is the rim of rims IMO........The defense rests!!!

Yes, everyone knows that. The rumor is that all of the GC series is made by Rays (not Volk, to be technical) and that The PF series is made by OZ. A few random ones here and there might be made buy yet another company.

Good luck with that, let me know how it works out for you. For me personally, I would like to know if it will actually fit before I special-order a set of $3,000.00 non-returnable wheels. That is where Prodrive USA's support falls far short of acceptable. And if GT Worx has never sold a set before, I can't exactly expect them to be accountable for whether the wheels fit on my car or not.

Prodrive

I will definately get to the bottom of all this and hopefully I'll have some good news for everyone. In the link I talked about before, they are running the 18 x 9.5 in a +32 mm front and +36 mm rear. I am waiting on info from Japan on running either a +36 or a +40 for a more tucked look. I will probably go with a +40 if they clear the calipers. I'll keep you posted. Thanks.

It is not that prodrive does not want to sell the wheels. It is that prodrive USA does not sell to the public. It is hard enough for even us vendors to get answers from them But most of the time we either know the answer already or can get the answer by looking it up.

The reason I belive Prodrive doesn't bring over mass quantaties of the EVO wheels is due to the fact they are not the quick mover the Subaru Wheels are. I think in everyone of my threads I have made promoting Prodrive people have come in and said, "Prodrive is for subaru just like Ralliart is for Mitsubishi"

While that is not true that is the mentallity of most Evo owners.

While we have some specials on GC-06D's that I run on my own personal car. And if you really wanted a set of GC-05F you could take a STI one and put a wheel spacer on it but I would not recommend it.
