I'm running the street version Project MU NS and I get squeaking sometimes (at a slow roll) and the I lubed behind the pads. I bet it the HC+ pads. I'm liking the NS version so far.

oh yes. I'm a fan of project mu's. Was using their HC Titan Kai's before then changed names. Now it's HC+ and Level Max 900. Soon it will be HC+, Max500, Max700 and Max900i just to confuse the heck out of everybody.

Anyway, HC-Titan, HC+ or Max900, they all squeak like nothing else on earth. Seriously. With anti-squeak you can delay the squeak by ooh about 2 days. Admittedly there's less with the anti-squeak so you're down from crazy squeaking to Moscow taxi level. Don't worry about the noise though. I've yet to find pads that stop like the Max900. I have the Endless CC-Rg on the Sti and that's no comparison. Even the HC Titan makes the DC2500 feel scary...

Great. Stops real good even when cold. makes every other pad i've tried a bit scary as said. you will 'warp' your rotors with these. The Mu 2-piece took some time to bed in with these pads while the stockers never really did. With the stock, you'd think you've bed it in, vibrations gone and then you get on it hard again and it comes back. I guess it's just putting that much more power through your rotors that it's hard to cope with.

p.s. i'm still looking for my book on cams!!!!

Did you try the stock organic shim + permatex cooper to stop the squeak?

I'm start to think that any pad in the world will cause a steering wheel vibration due to the lack of cooling from the Evo brake system. I do not know if it is an uneven pad tranfer or rotor warp at high levels of temperature.

Next month I will install the Mitsu brake air guides to help the rotor cooling. I will let you know if it work.
