New Setup, Need Alignment Opinions.....

Just installed JIC FLT-A2 on my 03 Evo. I dropped the about 1". Im riding on 18" Axis Reverb's, 235/40 Falken Azenis RT-615's. Cusco Rear Sway on the stiffest hole, Cusco LAB II, Stock upper Strut bar. The car is a daily driver, very very little track time. i need to get it aligned and i was wondering what a decent camber/toe setting would be, Keeping in mind its my DD and i dont wanna be eatting up my tires.

Also, ive notived that it is a little bit bouncy, will adjusting the stiffness settins on the shocks help that?? The Springs/Ride height??

Thanks
Sean

Total toe should be zero both front and rear on a daily driver. Out of spec toe is what will eat up tires. Camber is up to you, but aggressive negative camber is also not needed for daily driving, since straightline performance is more important during daily driving than cornering ability. You will want maximum contact patch for braking, meaning less negative camber.

I was thinking like -1 to 0 ish front and -1 to -2 ish rear camber?? Id still like to get some use out of the JIC's so i thought that was a pretty subtle setup

DO NOT put more negative camber out front than in the rear. The car will push. I would suggest -2 front, -1 rear and 0 toe front with 0 to .12 rear toe. I'm not an expert but this is the alignment most agree upon.

thos are almost the exact spec i had setup. Only question i have now is, why does the car bounce like a frigging lincoln town car when im driving. It will bounce like 5 or 6 times just driving normal stright on the highway. Just a very soft up and down motion. stop, then do it again. The car is set ( 0 Stiffest to 15 softest ) 5 front and 5 rear. When i hit a little crack int he road i can feel it, so i know the shocks are doing thier jobs, feels like good rebound, and handles like its on rails. Just that bouncing is starting to aggrivate me. $1800 coilovers shouldnt do that. I had KYB AGX and Ground COntrol's on my Eclipse and it had no problem. Im wondering if i tighted the nut that is the Spring perch, to compress the spring slightly more, if it will make the spring tighter and less apt to the bouncy effect. Oh yah, and i cant make the car bounce by pushing down on the outside of it either, thats why im so frigging baffled on this. Alignment shop chekced my tires, they are in good working order, no abnormal wear patterns or Hops in them

I would probably set my alignment for the street as follows:

Camber: -1.5 frt
-1.0 rr

Toe: zero frt
0.125 (1/8") Toe IN rr

The extra front camber will help the front end grip, more in the rear really isn't necessary. Front toe will be good at zero and rear should be zero max or slightly toed IN. If the rear is toed out expect the car to be very loose/oversteer. As for the bounciness, I would increase the damper setting on the end of the car which is bouncing until it stops. If it (bouncing) continues at max damping either the shock is bad (which does happen on the JIC's) or the spring rates you currently have don't match the available damping of the shock.
