opinions on my alignment

Just got my alignment done becuase the car was slightly pulling to the left.
Here are the results:

front left camber= -1.9
front right camber= -1.7

front left/right toe=0

Rear left camber= -1.0
Rear right camber= -1.0
Rear left toe= .10
Rear right toe=.15
total toe= .25

Thrust angle= 0.

This is going to be a daily driven set up.
Would I be noticing a lot of tire wear?

I am kind of concerned about my -1.9 camber on the front left.
Should I get it corrected?

BTW, car drives pretty good.
Not more pulling to the left/right.

What springs do you have? Stock?

That's a pretty aggressive alignment for a daily driver. You'll get a bit of treadwear on the front tires with the camber set that far negative. Just make sure you rotate your tires often.

Thanks for your comment.
Yeah, I am going to rotate tires more frequently.

I think I would like -1.5 camber on the front.
I am on stock suspension set up.

Maybe next time I'll have it set up that way.
My tires are almost half way done so I just wanted to try different set up and see how it feels.
I will be riding on these until it snows here and I'll go back to about -1 camber up front.

BTW, I just ordered some snow tires for winter.

Isnt stock set at -2.0 front and -1.5 rear? Mine was very very close to stock settings except my toe was off on all 4 corners.

I've gone through two sets of Advans driving at max negative front camber (approx. what your left front is) and I can tell you that if you do any autocrossing or spirited driving that the tires wear out on the outside first. I can't see any down side to running as much negative camber as you can get with the stock suspension.

Toe will wear the tires faster in the front; a little toe out in the rear makes for a little oversteer, which I personally like.

I've autocrossed my car extensively, with up to four drivers an event, and all eight of them were worn either evenly or more on the outer shoulders. More negative is the way to go.

Not trying to jack your thread. But how do alignment shops get the negative camber out with stock suspension? I have went to a few alignment shops and they all tell me that they can't get any negative camber without a camber plate. Thanks!

they're BS'ing with you then. When i had my coilover with camberplates taken out and stock involved (without camber plates), the dealership aligned the car and got -1.5 camber out of it. There is a bolt (can't remember what it's called) with threads on it that is used to align the car...just dremel the threads and you can get max negative camber out of them. They did that on the rear only as they had trouble getting the rears to negative camber.

i can't remember my exact settings now but fronts were around -1.5 and rears were a bit over -1.0. Front toe was 0 and rear toe was a 0.xx degree in. hope this helps

^ which ever shop you're going to, I dont think they know much about evo's alignment adjustments.
Do not go there.

The camber on the fron before adjustments were almost -1 deg.

I know the almost -2 deg of camber is kind of too aggressive but I just wanted to try it out to get a feel for it.

BTW, can someone with a workshop manual help wevo out?
Show him a pic of how you can adjust the front camber.

The front strut that attach to the spindle has a camber bolt, you can select -1 degree or -2degree by rorating the camber bolt 180 degree. There is an arrow on the camber bolt. Arrow pointing toward the engine = -2degree, outward = -1degree.

Mine is set at -2degree and with frt toe set at 0 I have no major tire wear issue . Much better for handling

That amount of neg camber in the front will be fine. As someone else already said, inside/outside tire wear is more strongly affected by toe than camber.

Where exactly is the camber bolt? I brought my car to this alignment shop and told them about the camber bolt on the strut, but they still can't figure out where it is. Is the camber bolt actually on the suspension itself? Thanks

it's located by the bottom part of the struts.

Ok, I'll try to look for it, thanks a lot!!!!

I have another question, there's this guy trying to sell me a set of Tein type flex coilovers for my civic. However, by looking at the pics they don't seem to have any camber plates on them, they only have the stock looking rubberish plate thing. So, would those coilovers have the camber bolts on them as well? Thanks a lot, I really don't know anything about coilovers.

These are Taiwan websites, so the writings might show up funny.

Or like this set of HKS coilovers for EVO, they don't have any camber plates on them. So, how do you ajust cambers on them?

http://tw.f2.page.bid.yahoo.com/tw/s...?aID=b29643275

I'm just really curious....
