Rotors question

Ok here's my problem and what I have right now.
I have Project Mu 2 piece rotors, slotted and dimped, and after 4 events using Project Mu level Max900 the rotors have cracks all around, small but noticeable cracks, nothing huge but if you look closely at the rotors you notice the cracks. I've been told that if your finger nail cant enter the crack then its ok to keep using them, but seems kinda weird, Im no rotor expert the last set I had I just bought new refills and got rid of them after a friend saw them he told me they were still usable for 2 events at most give or take. Any idea, I will try to post pictures tomorrow, anyways I bought a new set of refills again, but this time only slotted not dimped, plus the price was awesome since the kit came with new hats as well

Also my pads are gone and I was doing some search about the Hawk's DTC70 and they seem to be extremely friendly on the rotors and last longer than most pads out there plus they have an awesome braking, BUT has anyone here tried those pads? Im happy with my Level Max900 that I even use them on the street squeel free and they (compared to other pads) dont get my Volk's so dirty.

Some advice is appreciated.

Where are your hairline cracks around the dimples I assume? I know its common on some drilled rotors.

Yes somewhere near the dimples, I will take pictures of them now and post them in a little bit.

The DTC70 are very good track pads.

Martin Grand runs them in his T2 EVO - his comments were..

Excellent modulation - good bite - fade resistance. Reasonable rotor wear for a hardcore track pad.

Small cracks are ok - it is the beginning of the end but normal in the course of life for a rotor on track.

If cracks are longer than half an inch, or they reach the outer or inner edge of the rotor, time to change them out.

The cracks are normal with heavy/track use. Like Girodisc Martin said, as long as the cracks dont go out to the edges, its ok. All the rotors that i've tracked look like that eventually. As far as pads go, the titan kai/level max 900's are my favorites for the track (also I daily drive with them during the summer/fall). I've tried endless ccx, hawk hp+, PF 97's, endless sss, to name a few.
