I think that would go great with a greedy rs bov that vents to the air and some spinners. Sounds kind of rice to me. But if thats what you like i would be happy to look at the pictures.

If your really going to go threw with it i would clean and sand the brembos then use engine paint because i think it would hold up to much higher temperatures.

go for it.. and to "fitbikedominick" give it a break man. its rice to take care of the car? do your own thing and let people be +5000 get them powdercoated and let everyone see.

so you bought a 30k+ car dont clean it cause thats rice man. keep it dirty, fading and stay away from rice. yeah!

i'd like to see if powdercoating them is possible as well. i've thought of it and there's a powdercoater in my area. you probrably don't have to split the caliper though, just get the moving parts out. if no powdercoating, would ceramic coating work at all? i know that'll take the heat, but you're limited in color to silver/grey.

i would not recommend baking the calipers for powdercoat without removing the seals...

high temp powdercoats will hold up fine.

Ummm... I might try it here in Mitsubishi Fresno Dealer. I already did to do a warranty for my carbon wing last time. It was peeling too and it was bad. Too bad I did not take pics of my last wing. Anyway, Thanks.

So, has it been done? I am bringing a '99 Evo 6 up to track shape in a part of the world where automotive capability is limited (i.e. learn and do it yourself if you want it done right..) and so any experiences from you guys are a great help.

My Brembos have already peeled off at all 4 corners and are looking a little worse for wear.

Thanks

Sorry, I was asking about the powder coating how-to by T. Klemann in an earlier post... Has it been done in that order successfully before I go find some idiot's shop here and hold his hand while I walk him through it?

Thanks

Pleasseee do...I am the kind of guy who cleans the Brembos wheels-off every time I wash the car...Other people are so far gone, they cant have any hope of saving...If this is something you are serious about, and something that you can do easily, you can start a business for sure...think about how many people go to evodave for headlights, you could charge whatever you want for this trade and I'm sure desperate racers would be happy to even much have an option.
