Anyone run this tire during winter?

Looking at the BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDWS. I was dead set on some Blizzacks, but decided to go with an A/S as we don't really get that much snow. I can get this tire local for $121 each. Salesman said they will handle well in the snow and are real nice during the summer.

Any thoughts on these would be greatly appreciated!

I dont' know how much snow you get but you should be ok if you take it easy. Always helps to own a set of dedicated winter tires though

I saw them at Costco and ordered them for all season drive. But they delivered KDW instead of S. S looks has deep groves, should be good for snow.

For snow, I run Hankook IceBear for $100/each. Works super in snow!

I ran them in two philadelphia winters. They were pretty damn good for high performance all seasons. Literally, in a snow emergency, I was the only car driving besides the plow trucks.

Same here. Good tires in the snow + good wear also.

Yeah, but aren't those dedicated snow tires? I need something a little more versatile. Thanks for the input though. Maybe next year I will be able to afford seperate tires for the seasons. Right now I have to worry about my baby girl that will be born this spring!

I'm running the Bridgestone Potenza RE 960 AS and it is awesome. I went snow boarding this past weekend and it was snowing really hard. The tires had a lot of traction in it and it gave you confidence while driving. On the way down, we saw a Lexus GX 470 heading down the ditch and further down, there was a 06 STi that crashed into the side of the mountain.

This tire is awesome, quiet and comfortable on the road. Here a link to a comparison of the BFG and Bridgestone.

tvbf1, thanks for the input. I bought the tires last night and had them mounted and balanced local for $542 and change. I think that is a pretty awesome price, and so far I love the tires.

I had some Yoko Advan A550V's that were on the car when I got it. They were Ok, but the ride and noise level of these BF's is much better. I'll post a new thread once I get them in some wet and snowy conditions.

I plan on picking up the Hankooks based on the mostly positive feedback and rock bottom price

I believe I had these on last winter and I hit a curb going pretty slow on like powder type snow and couldnt stop worth nothing. But when it was slushy it was good.
