It takes only 30 minutes to change all four pads from a nice quiet grippy when cold street pad to a no bull$hit track pad. Call it what you want ... ghetto ... trailer trash .... whatever but running a squeeky street pad is lame.

Is it true the hawk pads help prevent a lot of rim dirt?

I wouldn't say they "prevent" brake dust on the wheels but they don't put out as much as the stock Brembo pads.

I've had mine for over a yr...I can't complain...I knew they were gonna squeak abit...but, thats the nature of the brakepads. Mine don't squeak that bad in winter...but on nice hot day here you can count on it.

Honestly, pads squeal. Some do it less, some do it more, some is helped by anti-squeak some remain the same. Sometimes it's the pads, sometimes it's rotors. Sometimes, it's just dirt and stuff. Get used to it. It's an evo and i'ts brakes squeal. That's all there is to it.

Unfortunately the bedding only lasts for a little while. If you dont race occasionally or do some really hard braking from time to time, they will squeak again and you will have to bed them again.

Mine squeled pretty bad the first 1000 miles or so when they would get hot. Now I never any problem with them.

The HPS pads generate less brake dust than other pads I've seen. One nice thing about the HPS and HP+ brake dust is that it doesn't seem to be as corrosive as others, and comes off very easily. I've seen Ferodo DS3000 pads completely ruin a set of wheels if the brake dust from a track day (ok, several track days during One Lap) wasn't washed off quickly. It simply welded itself to the wheel.
