Question Fitment question

I've got a fairly specific fitment issue question... which I'm sure has been answered before, but browsing the forums for days hasn't turned up anything that I've found to be concrete.

I purchased a set of Volk RE30's in 18x9.5 +34... I'm planning on mounting them with 255/35R18 tires. I'm also ready to purchase spacers if necessary for the fronts. Currently I'm riding on my stock MR Bilsteins.

Will I rub if I lower my vehicle with Swift springs? (1.38"/0.79" 35mm/20mm) Coilovers? I don't plan on slamming my car or tucking the tires in, I just want to have a very clean look with minimal gap.

So... what's my prognosis?

Thanks guys!

I have CE28 Time Attacks 18 x 9.5 +34 on my car with coilovers and spacers. Granted I'm running 265/35/18's all around, and it is very close to the inside spring perch in the front. You might definitely need spacers in the front,I think mine are 5mm. In the rear, the tire is right where the lip is on the inside of the rear fender. Even with the car slammed it does not rub and i don't use any spacers. Again I have coilovers but I would think that a conventional OEM style strut and coilspring with perches would be tight. I would test fit the wheels on the car before buying the Swift springs. Hope that helps

That's awesome. I found a another forum member running 265/35-18's and on Espelier GT springs with no rubbing.

I asked for his wheel specs, so hopefully I'll hear back from him soon. Looks like I shouldn't have any problems with Volks and wide rubber!!

T51 are you close in the rear on the outside lip of the fender or inside wheelwell behind tire/ control arm. Are you rolled?

The tire is right at the edge of the inside rear fender and none of my fenders are rolled, front or rear. Even with the rear tire tucked and someone in the rear of the car it does not rub. IIRC there is plenty of clearance on the inside of the wheel too. Keep in mind I have coilovers on the car so that might offer additional space over a OEM style strut and coilspring.
