how low is to low?

I have swift springs right now and they are perfect beside for the height. I would like for my car to sit a lot lower basicly for looks reasons. I am considering doing some coilovers and was wondering when i get the coil overs on how low can I go before it starts to hurt the handling of the car, and also what coilovers should I do for a decnt price that will allow me to get the most drop without negative effects?

do coilovers, if you any lower than swift's without camber plates you'll be sacrificing street handling and tires.....i was running GF210's prior to coilovers and couldn't get the camber pulled in more than 3.3 degrees, and caster was WAYYY out there...

If you want lower get the Tein S Tech, although don't cry when you have to replace your struts. Well actually your not in Michigan so you may be just fine.

also going to low will wear out the susp. prematurely, and you will have a car that has more body roll.

I will not use springs to make it any lower then the swifts. I would be using coilovers or nothing at all and just keep the swifts. I am considering the helix dna series.
this is the way the car sits now and it has yet to hit on anything at all. I would like to get close to an inch lower all the way around, would that be possible?

I think your car looks really good on those springs. You basically have to keep in mind that the front has to be higher than the rear on evo's for it to not hurt the handling. But excatly how low Im not sure myself, but I think it should only be 1" lower than stock to perform at its best. Unless you can afford custome tune on your aftermarket coilover.

How low is too low?

It depends on where you live and how good the streets/highways are in your city

For people that live in heavily populated cities with poor road surfaces, I'd suggest leaving the car on the stock height, even switching to MR Bilsteins...

Even in the city, I think it's ok for people to lower like 1" all around. It is really not that bad if you don't have crazy bodykit or lower front lip.

I like it stock, too. I'm comfortable with keeping the factory-tuned suspension geometry, I rarely worry about scraping even the tallest speed bumps and the like, and hitting the occasional pot hole.

Im not worried about hitting on things I just dont want to make it handle poorly. I like the drop that the hotchkis springs give but the front is a tad bit lower then the rear, and as someon stated, the evo needs to be a bit higher in the front then the rear.
