Two thumbs up: Michelin Pilot Alpine PA2

Got them installed last week just as the snow was melting so I got some dry and wet time on them since then. Really a nice feel for a winter tire. They grab well wet and dry, ride soft, and just feel pretty decent over all.

Well today we have been getting dumped on with snow and ice. Pretty crappy weather out there and I have to say I have had a lot of 4x4s and a variety of tires from street to mud tires and this car with its AWD and these tires are handling well above my expectations. They just get right down to business and give me traction. Sure I can make them slip, but they really just want to grab.

I wasn't sure what I was getting but I highly recomend these tires. Won't know till next year how they wear as a winter tire. But I didn't want the blizzacks as we almost always get cold but we don't get snow every year.

So if your on the fence about these you won't be dissapointed. I thought I would put this out there since there aren't many people on here running them that have left feedback.

great tire, and tire rack is also a great place to get em from. I managed to blow one out due to some freak construction road debris and they are going to try to get another one shaved down to match by tomorrow, and even after rush shipping and shaving the tire is still cheaper than what the local shop wanted for a single new tire.

I went discount tire. He gave me a decent price. For the little bit more I paid I had them the next day and installed. If I would have saved the money for the tirerack price I would have still had to pay to mount them and no free lifetime balancing so it really worked out better for me. Especially since I told the guy I'd be back for summer tires in a month or two.
