I got Tein SS and am no suspension guru but i definitely took some time adjusting the stiffness and arrived to what is surely a better look, better feel and better handling than the stocks.. of course the ride is stiff but it's wat u pay to play, as mentioned earlier!

I really like my teins..

It's not about being sensitive. It's about posting random BS crap, after your title there are 27 more 14 yr old wannabe evo owners touting Tein as garbage. Maybe they are, maybe not. Certainly for the money some of their products are good, kind of like Ikea, gotta choose wisely. I should be totally used to it by now, especially in this forum.

Anyway, the Tein RA is a monotube design. The rear shocks had great droop travel and were quite light. The front shock diameter was a bit large, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with. Overall good for the money, IMHO of course.

Have ran serveral differrent brands of coilovers(DMS, Billstine,3 sets of Teins , Cusco) and have found Tein's stuff to be well constructed and easy to setup. Currently I am on the Super Racings with custom spring rates and absolutely love them! for tein.

well any suspension is crap if it setup wrong that what lot of people dont pay attention to they just put coilovers on their car and make it looks rite and think they are done you got to get it corner balance and align to make it handle like the monster it is. same goes for viseversa you can take a intro level coilover and with proper setup and alignment can get great results. the evo from the factory has a great suspension setup and it is true that some cars that have coilover run slower then cars that are stock it all comes down to setup.

FYI You would not see a stock Evo handle like a Stock evo that has been Robispec or Mullerized

i have always throught that TEIN's products were not of very high quality. I've ridden in a few cars with their coilovers and i've owned their springs. I was never impressed.

From my experience it seems like Teins moto is "Stiffer is better" no matter what the application.

I had a set of the HE's on my 240 for four years. Great coilovers. I know for sure after talking to many people who buy coilovers is that they have no idea what they are doing when they install them.

Nice. Have you ever even looked at them or inspected them? They are made well, and look it. I run the super racings and they are incredible.

If you want to see a coilover that looks like crap check out the KW's. I'm sure they work well, and lots of peeps like them, but they look horrible.

Tein makes a good product and you can beat their price on a double adjustable coilover in the super racings.

I would go mono-flex, if thats what you are after. Mono-tube by design is superior.

IMO, stick to the cusco stuff it is better all around. If you are wanting to spend less you should go with cusco zero 2E, they are awsome!

not a evo or flex's, but i wrote a review on ss-p's i had on my rsx. stout product, which is why i automatically consdered tein for my evo. i even bought a second set of ss-p's for my rsx when the original set wore out. if it works why change it right?

Tein is crap. Your money; justify your mistake however you choose.

I could make a long post on my preferences, longevity, or what Ive seen on some of these JDM (YO) suspensions but my experience is dwarfed by the original MR. Street Mod, Dennis Grant. You'll be hard pressed to find someone who has actual shock dyno time with tons of brands and is will to share his secrets and opinions, of which Dennis's are strong.

So if you want to know why its crap, scroll down to the " On "Crap" " Section.

Just thought Id add this quote for those who dont want to read through everything.

if you cannot revalve the shock for love or money, then an crappy off the shelf force curve (Japanese stuff again) makes for a crappy shock.
