DMS 50 VS KW Variant 3

Hi guys,

I'm currently looking at getting either the DMS 50 or KW Varaint 3.
The price on both coilover are very similar here in Australia.
The car will be use for both street and track.
DMS comes with progressive spring.
How does the progressive spring compare to double progressive spring.
What are the ride like on these coilover?
How do they hold up on track, and how do they ride on the street?

Any advice on these coilover.

Many thanks in advance for your advice and/or suggestion.

Well you're either being ripped off on the KW's or you are getting one helluva deal on the DMS setup. I'd go DMS all the way if it was the same money. The DMS is more than 2x more expensive than the KW and is a far superior damper.

I'd contact Robi from Robispec for a little advice, he sells both of those setups and could probably make a solid recommendation.

Dms 40

The price of the DMS 40 is closer to that of the KW3 !

DMS 50 is much more expensive !!!!

I run the DMS 40 and they are much better then stock - great ride.

I use them for DD.

i have robispec Clubsport KWS and two of friends have DMS. for street and track i would highly recomend KWs. For the DMS it's a little faster than the KWs around the track but it's very very veryyyyyyyy stiff. on the street your back going to be brokeback.

Are you talking about the Variant 3's, or Variant 3 ClubSports? There's almost a $1000 difference between them.

Either way, I'd get the DMS 50mm, they're both great, but if they're the same price go with DMS 50mm.

That is a great deal though, DMS 50mm for under $2000!! Wow, I wonder if it would be cheaper for us to buy them in Australia and have them shipped here....

in my opinion, after a lot of research the kw's do not compare to the dms 50, the dms are in a different league.

actually, a good person to contact regarding suspension is chronohunter- he actually does a lot of research and development with suspension.
