Hawks HP+ vs Hawks HPS
1. were the rotors resurfaced before you switched to the HP+?
2. did i understand correctly that you upgraded ONLY the REARS to HP+, after replacing (?) type rear pads with them, and keeping (?) type front pads?
3. who replaced the new pads? It is quite possible that installation played a part in the noise they made.
4. sometimes brakes get dusty, chemicals on them, temps canaffect physical and chemical qualities of brakes, etc. Two days is not particularly long to allow new pads to bed in (don't know how much driving was done in the two days)
These could all be reasons you experienced so much noise that it bothered you. I would not take this as a testimony to these pads being very loud in general.
