These could all be reasons you experienced so much noise that it bothered you. I would not take this as a testimony to these pads being very loud in general.
trust me...THEY ARE...and hell yea theyre embarassing to drive on the street...ive had them for 3 weeks now...and ive done everything possible to quiet them down...still loud as ****

that is unfortunate. however, like i said before, they were very tolerable for me, albeit on a different car.
