so that makes rt615 better than oem.

they arent even remotely close in level of dry grip. The ONLY time they are comparable is when the azenis are overheated.

Ok, I agree there. The azenis need some warmth first. I think once on the track they are very comparable..

So.... lets see what these z1's have.

What the hell are you guys waiting for? Just go out and buy these you won't regret them! Only way of finding out if these are good is by trial and error. If you want some honest feedback from someone who doesn't track his car, these are great for street use. On corners that I would have normally heard some tire squeal these grip so much its like riding on rails and I don't hear a peep from the tires. It hasn't rained here to the point of standing water so I can't tell you how they are with that but in light drizzle I don't notice any slipping/sliding with normal driving. I'd definitely buy these again.

These tires will make you start to focus on whether or not you need new swaybars.

does the rear end pull out under heavy acceleration, turn?? My rt615's do, and it slides a good bit before biting. I hate that. OEM advans never did that they might slide for a inch but instantly grip.

That's funny...my OEM Advans kicked out all the time. I still don't understand the incessant nut-riding on the A046 tires.

well i just got my Z1's put on yesterday and after a few power slides and launches to get rid of the factory coating they handle very well. At 145 they are smooth and are not that loud so far i give them a 8.5 now it might go up or down soon because i have yet to drive in the rain and also hard corning but that will come really soon.

Direzza Z1s

Just mounted yesterday with a few issues that I hope will go away with break-in (and hope that the performance improves).

Brand new it's louder than my worn Advans, almost "howl" like. So much so that I brought the car back to the tire shop for a double check. And if I remember correctly, a lot louder than new Advans.

I really like the quick response and "bite" of the A-046. Off the cuff with just couple of days on the streets and freeway, the Z1 at stock pressures 32F/29R feels like A-046 at couple of pounds higher (don't know if this makes any sense). May be I just need to lower the pressure.

Check the pressure with an accurate digital gauge or atleast your own new pressure gauge. Trust me half the time the tire stores equipment is crappy....I would know I work at one
