Tire Mounting Costs

I just ordered online some azenis rt-615's for my evo.

I called locally around to find out how much mounting and balancing was.

This local shop that is well known in the community has raised their prices due to some deal with tire distributors.
With them I am looking at around $33 a tire

Here is the quote
If you bring in your own tires to be mounted, this is the pricing schedule that applies to you:
This Installer Offers Pricing:

Mounting & Balancing (per tire) Additional Services (per tire)
by sidewall aspect ratio
Rubber Valve Stems: N/C
35 Series and lower $32.50 Disposal Fee: $2.29
40-45 Series $29.50 Run-Flat Tires Service $12.50
50-55 Series $25.50 Light Truck Tires Service N/C
60 Series and higher $21.50 TPMS Service $4.00

Optional Premium Service Charges (per tire)
Upgraded Wheel Weights (chrome, low-profile) N/C
Road Force Balance $7.25
Metal Valve Stems $4.00
Wheel and Tire Storage N/C
Lifetime Balance and Rotation $12.50
Tire & Wheel Package (Pre-Mounted) Installation Price $5.00

This is a preset price pledge guarantee we have made to outside tire suppliers in order to obtain their reccomended installer program. I invite you to shop around before buying out of town. Figure in shipping, mounting and balancing, etc. and headache after headache when something goes wrong and the only one you got is on the other end of the phone line if you can get them to respond in a timely fashion. Keep your money in the local economy and help independents like us keep the doors open. Who is gonna warranty your tires? Who is gonna help you with warranty work if needed? Woudn't it be easier to drop it off and say "Here, fix it"
BTW if you read this and are coming in be sure to tell us that you saw it on csramotorsports.com for $20 off any labor service of $100 or more
This is a huge sites, does anyone have any good things to say about any national known installers? I called a few places, that were half the price 15-20$ a tire, but I don't trust them like I trust these guys. I really wish they wouldn't of raised their prices. I could of got Azenis from them, but it was quoted 958$ installed . I was like hell no

around here in NYC, its around $15 per tire (that includes mounting/balancing and new valve). some places are cheaper, around $12 and others around $18 but I've never seen a place to charger more than $20.

$33 could be true for those huge rims (22's and up) but not for anything under 20"

pricing will depend on wheel size and tire profile.

Larger wheel / lower profile = more $$$

You should plan on spending anywhere from $15 - 35 per wheel for tire mount / balance.

everyone is forgetting to mention one factor (that will sway me 100%) which is do they use plastic guards on their tire mounting machine or do they man-handle your wheels w/ the steel crow-bar.... i'd rather pay the alil extra to guarantee they dont leave a mark.

exactly, i konw the one place (the expensive one has the plastic guard), but also the other place does also.

I just figured over $30 bucks for 17's is a little steep. Its not like i'm putting on 24's... LOL

yeah, look at the quote i put that this shop said to pay.

They charge an extra 7$ for road force,

so per tire with road force, mounting, balancing, disposal, I'm looking at almost $40 a tire.. Hell nah
