Hawk pad squeek

i recently installed new Hawk pads in the front of my Evo VIII based on the reviews I read. i didn't replace the rotors though they probably should have been replaced or turned. whenever the pads heat up, they squeak very loudly when the car is almost to a stop. does anyone know if this is due to not turning the rotors? .. if so, will the squeak eventually go away?

thanks!

Squeak is normal.
Turning the rotors will not get rid of it. Turning will get rid of grooves or wobbles or warpedness.
They do have some stuff you can put behind the pads that will "help" with the squeal.

what's wrong is it's been spoken about so many times there is nothing left to say that hasn't been said/discovered already

Searchin is very important as a noob takes you less time to search and get a quicker answer then starting a new thread

Depends I guess. How bad does it bother you. haha
Get some antiseize, pull the pads off, put a gob on the back of the pads. NOT the rotor side!
Then bed them per spec. Proper bedding is really what's important. I've never even used the crap they put in the box to stop squealing. If they glaze from improper bedding though, they'll squeal like a stuck pig.
The only time I've ever heard mine squeal is sometimes while I come to a stop when backing up...
