r-compond balancing?
r-compond balancing?
I have a set of used ra-1's that have a bunch of rubber pieces stuck/melted into the top layer of tread, my question is will those pieces of rubber will throw me out of balance after they all fall off at the track?
The guy how sold them to me said I shouldn't balance them becuse of this, what do you guys think?
Should I try to get them mounted then do some tire scrubbing and then have them balanced without all of that rubber shi* on them?

i dont know the answer but would like to... so bump!
i think what you said at the bottom of your post makes the most sense, i dont see whats wrong with rebalancing wheels and tires every once in awhile (if there is a problem)
thats basically what you would be doing i dont see a problem but someone correct me with the facts

If they wont peel off by hand just get them mounted, go out to a parking lot and do some figure 8's and drive around n them a bit. The bits of rubber will peel themselves off then you can get them balanced.
