Falken or Nitto

I started a thread a few days ago about the Falken RT-615s and everyone pretty much said they were a great tire and the price was great. However Im wondering what is everyones take on the Nitto NT555? I will be buying a set next week so Im stuck in between the two......thanks

The NT555s are terrible - I'm not sure why you'd even ask about them. How did you get stuck between an incredibly grippy tire and a terrible tire. You got all that great feedback about the RT-615, right? Did you look at the feedback people have given on the NT555? Do a quick search...it's ugly.

Nitto's are the better drag racing tire, not to great for handling


Falkens are very good for handling, so-so for drag racing

Kumho MX's are going to fall in the middle...

nt-555 are not very good, i had the 615's on a previous car and soon will have them on my evo and couldn't be happier with them.

You're confusing the Nitto 555R and 555. He said the 555, which is not a drag radial and is an all-around poor tire. The 555R would not be bought as a daily driven tire on the Evo, because it's a drag radial.
