You can try a set of MR Bilstein's. I upgraded to them partly for that very reason, there better, but there not soft. There pricey too, new from the dealer your looking at $2500 for the set. Used on Ebay or somewhere else $650-1000. I paid $800 shipped w/150 miles. There's nothing that is going to make an Evo ride like a caddy though. Good luck!

I did the same thing on my SE. The ride is better and the suspension feels like it is actually working. The KYB's on the SE I think are not tuned for the lighter BBS wheels like the MR Bilsteins are. With the MR suspension the car doesn't skip over small bumps like the stiffer less compliant KYB's do. You will see a slightly less sharp turn in but the road feel is still there just a little more subtle.

bisltein pss9's. Do your best to find another evo owner with these and go for a ride. I personally think these are an ideal street setup. Street.

I was looking for something softer than stock as well. Someone on here swears that even the cheaper BC coilovers are softer, and yet still offer better handling than stock ...

A second set of tires (stock size) will help too. The ADVANS have very stiff sidewalls. Getting a set of tires with a softer sidewall (about 75% of the rest) will improve the ride, but your trade off will be less grip compared to the ADVANS.

Don't get Eibach if your streets have many bumps. You'll kill the stock struts quickly.

+1 on the Bilsteeeens. I put them on my RS and now the passenegr seat back doesn't look like a playing card in bicycle wheel spokes when I'm driving around.

+1 for MR Bilsteins. Pairing them with MR specific Swift springs is my recommendation.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to find a used set of the MR Bilsteins? I just checked eBay and couldn't find any. Maybe I'm a retard and didn't search correctly...or maybe noone is selling any right now. Want to avoid the dealership. Also, where could I pick up the Swift springs for the MR suspension? Thanks guys.
