which is more aggressive: hawk HP+ or DS2500 ???

I'm looking for a very aggressive street pad that can be used at the track.

I'm currently using the hawk hp+ but the ds2500 was recommended over these..

which are better for my needs?

ds2500 ive had both and can't wait to get back to the ds2500's. Dusty pads but well worth it.

I couldn't tell a difference on the track or street, but the ferodos definitely create more dust.

I find the Hawks to very loud, but they are very low dust. I've never had the Ferodo so I can't comment on them.

As far as initial bite, both the Hawk HP+ and the DS25000 are about the same. The advantage of the DS2500 is that the Hawk HP+ has a lower MOT compared to the Ferodo DS2500. Both are great pads, but if you are going to track your car more often than not, I would go with the DS2500. Just my $0.02 in.

which are better for my needs?

I would like to know the answer to that my self - as it is a frequesnt question.

I have one of eacj on my desk - and they look quite different.

HP+ definintely have more metal in them - DS have more 'brown' metal (copper and bronze i think)

Based on purely non-technical best guess I'd say...

Ignore what Ferodo and Hawk say. Of course they have to tout the benefits of their respective products. And they both are pretty good products when used properly. If you take a knife to a gun fight you should expect to get killed.

My experience says.....

HP+ are more aggresive - i.e have more bite.
Ferodo's make more dust - and it's black
HP+ have more rotor wear
Ferodo's have more pad wear

High temp fade is similar - that is something I don't think i can guess

More importantly - both are aggresive street pads - but not full blown track pads. IF you daily driove your EVO and want a fits all solution you are being unrealistic. IF you mostly pleasure drive your EVO than either is good.

If you track it stop expecting street pads to live under race conditions - they just DON'T.
