BC Racing owners! Question.

When you adjust the height on the suspension do you detach the strut from the knuckle and spin the lower bracket. OR do you leave it attached and turn the strut body?

Reason asking some people say turnign the body of the strut screws up valving and dampening adjustment. Others say it's perfectly fine.

Now I don't know if this has been addressed yet since they are somewhat new. Curious as to how you guys adjust the ride height.

if spinning the shock body will damage the shock somehow, then you've got a big problem on your hands. I'd check what the manufacturer or your vendor has to say, they should know the correct way to do the adjustments, although for the most part you should be able to use the "turn the shock body" method with no issues.

So no need to disconnect from the lower knuckle and spin the bracket?

Anyone else have any opinions?

I have Zeals but the height adjustment is the same.
You do not have to unbolt anything and will not throw off your damping settings.

Here is how you adjust it:

With the tool that was provided (looks like a half circle wrench)to you from BC, unlock the bottom spring perch.
Now with that tool you used to unlock the perch, you need to turn the shock clockwise or counter-clockwise to raise or lower your height.
You turn the shock body by grabbing the spring seat perch.
Do not unlock this perch or you will be adjusting preload.
Just turn it while the perch is locked.
I wish I had a pic but I am sure someone here is gonna help out.
