Hotchkis question...

i just got some hotchkis springs... but im concerned about how badly it gonna hurt performance. this year im only gonna be doing drag.. wanted coil overs but i decided im gonna spend the money on an fpgreen..... next year i plan on getting coil overs but for the time being i NEED a drop... honestly im like insecure about stock height hahaha

so my question in.. how bad will the performance of my evo be affected by installing these springs?

EDIT: i did search but i couldnt find a direct answer.. especially from people that own them

imo - Hotchkis springs aren't the best, but they certainly aren't the worst.

If you're not tracking the car, and don't do a lot of aggressive driving, I'm not sure how much you'll notice the change. How much do they lower the car? Do you utilize the factory bumpstops? The latter being a big question for spring imo.

Don't throw on spring that'll lower your car 2" in front and expect a smooth ride. There are some springs that lower > 2" that some people do for show/garage queens and they don't care about the ride - so keep that in mind.

A lot of the performance (Espiler GT, Works, Swift, Gtworx) springs utilize the factory bumpstops and lower 20-35mm front which is about 1-1.5" max. FYI.

well im def not for show ... but theres something about stock height that gets to me haha

im not tooo concerned about the rough ride considering its not my daily driver. the springs

they include poly urathane bump stops, 1.5" Drop 195lb/in (200lb/in Stock)Rear 1" Drop 275lb/in (270lb/in Stock)Suggested Alignment SpecsFrontToe: 0-.05 toe outCamber: Maxed out the camber on the front should be close to -2RearToe: .25 total toe inCamber: -1.15

not sure if that helps at all... ill be ok if they are DRAMITCALLY worse then stock... i WILL have coil overs before i autocross it though...
