Different wheel sizes?

I bought a set of volk wheels that have 2 that are 17x8 and 2 that are 17x9 this was an accident of course but can u run this kind of setup on an evo, or is it bad for the diff and tranny or such things?

As long as the tires are the same diameter it's fine.

It's a pretty popular setup to run wider wheels and tires in the front of the Evo in Japan.

It will mess with the diff if they are off.

I have a hard time believing that, because the wheel weights will be different...I've only heard of using different offsets, but what the hell do I know?...I say sel off the set and buy something else...

You can run a stagger size with the wider wheel in the front. The only thing you need to make sure is to run the same size and brand tires. With a stagger setup, you will be able to reduce understeer. However, the major draw back is not being able to rotate the tires. Most track junkie runs a 9.5 - 10" in front and 9 in the rear.

But, you won't be able to rotate your tires properly without having the tires taken off and remounted on the rims. Could be a total pain in the *** every 5K miles...

Yes, you can run 255 on both. Just keep in mind you tend to stress the sidewall if you take them out too many times.
