I would have to venture a guess of roughly 20k miles on mine. Up until a month ago they seemed fine. In the last month my entire suspension has deteriorated to complete s**t because of these springs.

Just wham, game over. Started feeling the bumps a little more, then poof. Goo everywhere.

Once it got cold again the damage tally on all the struts from the last year or so added up and took everything out at once.

Do not buy these springs.

Do not.

I thought they were "fine" too, so I left them on. They are not. I should have taken them off. Because right now I wouldn't be replacing everything.

These people are adamant about them for a reason. To save you these kinds of headaches.
Listen to them.
Thanks for your insight.
Just updating my status, my car is still solid, handles very well and no drastic changes.
But after hearing your experience, I will consider getting it switched before it warms up, as I should anyways for track season.
I'll give swifts a ring(I had em on my KYBs, awsome springs)
But in tein's defense, I had no issues for 7-8 track days and 1.5 years of DD(BUT I do drive VERY conservatively on street)

i read through the whole thread pretty much and get the general concensus that tein's suck on evo's.... but what would be a good spring/shock combination assuming we still use the stock gsr shocks?

I got spec r's installed now.
Handles WAY better and shocks are definitely damping much better.
But I checked the shocks and there are NO signs of giving up either, after 2 years of moderate driving on s techs.
So to people that has UPGRADED s techs(second batch) you should have nothing to worry about
