Where do you get Yokohama tires?

Seeing how many people here report quick wear on these tires, I'm curious to know how much the stock tires cost each? Also, what tire shop would carry them? Anyone from the Houston area know of a shop with a good price?

With tires, you get what you pay for. The A046 is an excellent tire for the Evo.

In some aspects, the Kumhos are better... the Advans are kind of overrated.

That statement is not always true. You dont always get more just because you spend more money.A fool and his cash soon go separate ways bro.Enjoy your next 900 dollar tire change.I'll take the cheap way out.

You didn't specify which Kumho - I assume the Ecsta 712. While they are good tires, you're sacrificing grip for treadwear and a lower cost. I didn't say you should not get them, as many people don't care about the grip - just having tires that last longer. Your post implied that you were getting an equal tire for half the price, which simply isn't true. Are the A046's twice as good? I can't say, since it's your money, your car, and therefore your decision.

No one here is buying tires for a ****ing Camry but 200 dollars for each tire is ridiculous. I bought a set of 17'' Pole Position S-03's for less than $600 and they are EXCELLENT tires. I used them on my previous vehicles.

I used the S03's on my NSX, They are good but the other tire that was DESIGNED for the NSX was better. I have a feeling the evo is the same way. The NSX had a different tred for the front and the back. I will stick with the stocks and maybe get some slicks for the track. The stock setup is nice to me.

I you think TireRack sells the stock Yoko for $208 is expensive then wait til you hear from your Mitsubishi dealer. They're asking for $350 each. Now, that's what I called "very expensive".
