Loud noise when braking

Loud noise when braking

So my brakes make a loud noise when i brake going in reverse. An example is when i leave o work in the morning, i do a 3 point turn and while i am brake to go foward the brakes make a loud noise not like when brake pads need replacing though. Any clue anyone?

I'd love to hear responses on this one too. I don't have this issue with my EVO, but I have the exact same problem with another car. Only when making that first reverse in the morning out of the driveway.

My EVO made a clunking noise under the same conditions. I found a pad spacer broken off on a rear caliper. If you look in this picture you can see what I’m referring to, each caliper has four of these in each inner corner, maybe you have a broken one too?
