Rear strut bar worth it??

just wondering if a rear strut bar makes enough of a difference to make it worth installing?

We don't have a rear strut design, so that rear bar does absolutely nothing. Even if we had rear struts, you wouldn't make use of it when drag racing.

Although a rear "strut bar" doesn't help to maintain camber since we have no rear struts, might it still promote torsional rigidity? For example, Mitsu chose to install the "trunk bar" in the RS and it's even further from suspension pick-up points.

I was thinking of getting a Cusco trunk bar like the one that comes with the RS, the one that mounts opposite side as the strut bar. Would this be a better investment?

a rear chassis bar would stiffen everything up... so theoretically, wouldn't it induce oversteer buy reducing rear grip?

It does some, like 3% to 8% stiffness i'd say. It actually worked out for me because it leaves a place to stuff things behind it like my jack and groceries and such. Like a cargo net with the added benefit Other then that, no not worth it.

I installed a Cusco rear strut bar so I had a solid place to strap my subwoofer down. From a performance standpoint, my coilovers are quieter now (they used to rattle over washboard bumps especially in right rear). So I suspect the added rigidity has helped the suspension.
