Not sure I follow that comment. For just the steering kit, I believe you are best dropping the subframe out, then it takes just seconds for the kit itself. Then reinstall the subframe. If its never been out you will probably find a couple of washers, nuts, and other crap wedged up in it anyway. The location is kind of a collector for things you drop behind the engine when working. Having it out gives you a real good understanding of how everything works and is laid out.

if you haven't changed the front sway bar yet, I would encourage doing that during the job. Its totally worth it even if you just DD. I suggest the H&R bar, but it probably doesn't really matter.

I just meant that I'm not gonna separate the lower arms from the knuckle assembly. My car was from up north and I think the previous owner didn't have a clue about what they were doing so I find a lot of screwed up stuff on my car. I honestly in fear of turning bolts on the exhaust. I've got a 26mm WL sway bar to go on as well.

I autocross my car monthly at local events and it definitely throws its weight around, of course that was with two blown struts up front. Now I have Bilstein HD's so I'm sure that will help a little.
