Are they worse than stock as far as dust goes?

I too like the R4Ss....Please man, no need to be doing 150mph on the street unless you are trying to wind up on the news....

stock pads are probably the best for a street evo...

For serious track I would go use either DS3000's or the Endless N35S's are meant to be excellent.. or Pagid RS19's.. I am running 3000's now and they stop great but the wear is quite bad... I will be going endless next..

Vibration could be:
* actually warped rotors - highly unlikely
* pad transfer - very likely
* cracked/fractured rotors - thats what Ive got..
* incorrectly torqued nuts

Either way (except for the last) a very light skim of the rotor will fix it... however should be avoided as you will need to replace them sooner!

Stoptech article is worth the read...

tephra - thanks for the tips. I have decided to try and re-bed the pads and if that does not work I am going to do a very light bit of sanding on the rotors.

Porterfield make some great pads and are made in Newport Beach (or Costa Mesa area), Ca. They are fabulous pads and are used on a number of winning pro race cars. The RS4s are really nice for the street -- I prefer them to the stock pads.
