So I just took my car over to sears to get an alignment after installing my tanabe gf210s and they told me the only thing that they could adjust would be the toe and that I would need camber kits for them to align it correctly.

Just looking for some advice on what to do.

go somewhere else. evo alignments are so easy. if they cant do it something is clearly wrong with them.

Same thing happened with my hotchkis springs. I had to get 2 camber bolts in the front.

Buy two these .... Ingalls Engineering Fastcam Camber Adjusting Bolts.

With the GF210s, one set is all you need. Do a search, they are less than $20

I'm taking the car on a trip to NC tomorrow night. Should I go ahead and get the toe done or just forget about it.

You do NOT need a camber kit, but you do need an alignment. Take your car to Andrewtech Automotive (different Andrew then me) in Gaithersburg and get an alignment.

I wouldn't let that shop do the toe if they can't figure out how to do camber.

u need the camber bolts for the front. other than that u'll have to slot u're struts, but i wouldn't do that, the camber bolts are the correct way and they are not much.

No, you don't need camber bolts for the front.

Seriously.

The stock bolt is adjustable for either -1 or -2 degrees (approximately). Have a decent shop set it for -1 and zero your toe. That's it.

Well I know I put the camber bolt back the way it was with the "arrow" facing towards the middle of the car. This is the -1 degree correct?

bring it to a better shop , and have them adjust it , every time you ride height change your camber changes ..
pros recommend -1.8 to -2.0 at front and -1 and the rear 0 toe F&R
hope that helps >>

i just installed the hotchkis springs. The shop had no issues aligning it to specs. No camber kit or bolts required. They said the EVO easlily had enough adjustment.

I'm also in need of an alignment, had my swift springs on for about a month now and one of my rear right tires are balding bad on the inside... just picked up a set of tires for the alignment... what should I tell the shop to adjust for in terms of toe and camber if I want a daily driver setup with an occasional mountain run in between?
