Of course you can run them on the street - even semi-slicks are legal. However, that doesn't make them street class tires. NT-01s are r-comps and are not used in street class.

I think the NT-01's are considered "semi-slicks". The A6's or V710's would be a costly decision to use for casual track days. I'd say the NT01's would be the best choice for track days if you want more than street tires could offer and don't want to pay for the Toyo's.
I'm sure your first few lap times would be better with the Kumho's or Hoosier's......

Every lap time would be better with the V710s, but they would wear out faster.

Ok.......that was my point. Why are we talking about V710's in this thread anyway?

Because I think the OP wants a strict racing only tire. The V710's are better suited for track purposes than the NT-01's

Ok, Ok....fair enough. But I would think you should only use V710's on the track for competition. To say they are better suited means stickier.

I'm running NT01s on my XI. Though on/off ramps are much more fun with these tires, I wouldn't suggest running them 24/7. They like to collect whatever your run over. I've had to pull pop can tabs, nails, screws, and glass out of the rubber. Also on a hot day you are pretty much sand blasting your car on the road. You will hear a continuous spray of filth bouncing off the car. The also have a very stiff sidewall allowing you to feel every BB sided rock in the road.

On the track they are better than the RA1s in the dry but I still think the Kumho victoracers and 710s are better. The cool thing is the NT01 has a price advantage over the Kumhos. I wouldn't go expensive on your first set of sticky ickes unless you have driven on them before. Its super easy to over drive R compounds thus killing them in a day.

Also be advised the the stock clutch will not hold launching on these tires. I can pull a 1.6 on snow tires but when trying to come out of the hole hard on NT01s the rpms climb and all I smell is clutch.

Nt-01's are much faster on my Evo than my current RA'1s. They come in alot quicker too. My only grip is you cannot flip the tires inside/outside. My Evo like to eat the outer tire therefore I showing cord in matter of a couple track events. But damn they were fast
