Exclamation Broken Rim!! HELP

Talk about ruining your night. I was heading out last night with some friends, aftger washing and waxing the car of course, and ran over a HUGE "piece of curb"(??? not sure exactly if thats what it was). I didnt see it until last second and obviously couldnt get completely out of the ay in time. At first I thought it might have just knocked the bead off, but when I finally got it to a well lit parking lot to put the donut on, I noticed this...along with a huge rip in the side-wall...

I dont know if it will be able to hold a tire or not; after looking at it a little closer it does look like it MAY, but im no expert on the matter. what do you guys think? is it something I could get fixed for the time being, or does it look like im buying a new rim? sorry about the pics, it was the best I could do with a camera phone and at 12am

Wow! Yea, you are going to need a new wheel at least, and most likely a new tire. Hey, it could have been much worse. Also, when everything is fixed make sure you get an alignment, because a blow like that could have easily thrown things out of whack

yea it looks like your gonna need a new rim. this reminds me of the time with my mustang gt, my new saleen 18" rims were 5 days old and there was a huge hole on i95 that i hit in a rain storm at night blew out my tire and dented/cracked my rim!

There are companies that repair wheels. I nailed a curb in the snow and had that wheel repaired. The company did a good job fixing it. I don't recall the name of the company that did the repairs, but if you google it, I'm sure you'll find several.

that wheel is definitely repairable. should cost you no more than 200 bucks to get it repaired and re-finished. buying a whole new wheel would be a complete waste of money.

yeah it definately needs a new tire; blew a huge hole right in the sidewall. This just really sucks even more because it couldnt have come at a worse time financially, and my other ride is pretty much down for the time being...

The wheel can easily be fixed by a competent wheel repair shop, but the tires strength has been compromised and should be replaced.

That sucks. Same type of thing happened to me in my A4 I had a couple years back. Had to buy a new wheel. A used VIII wheel will cost you less buying it from the "for sale" section on this forum than it will to get that fixed. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about this bro. I'm sure you can find a place to fix this real quick. I'll ask around and see if there's is anyone local that might be able to help you out.
