Yokohama W4S
Yokohama W4S
Does anybody have these tires?? I am looking into getting some new tires, right now I have the Avon Tech M500 a/s that I got last year. I want to get a good all season tire as I will be snowboarding but I dont have enough for a second set of wheels and tres right now. Wondering if anyone has used these in snow and how they have worked, I will most likely only see light snow as I have to drive about 3 1/2 hours to get to lake tahoe. TIA
Hey, I just picked up a set of YK520s from discount tire and can tell you one thing. They are better than Toyo RA1's in the snow. Nuff said.
Yoko makes good tires but I do think you can do better than WS4s for the money. For me I just wanted some cheap safe skins to get to and from with and save my sticky rubber for the real fun. These should wear for a LONG time and be safe in snow and rain. Thats what I need from a tire so it works for me.
Find out what you need from your tire and go from there. As you are going to lake Tahoe you could see real snow so you may want to consider something that can deal with bad conditions. Most all seasons should be ok as long as you stay sane.
Consider some Conti's and Bridgestone Potenza G 009's.
