Question What else do I need besides lowering springs?

I'm picking up an evo IX tomorrow and am going to drop it a little. I found that hotchkis springs are pretty popular and have a good rate and price. Can anybody that has these springs or any springs shed more light as to what else I have to do the evo, being that it is AWD if that makes any difference from a RWD (alignment, shocks, rolling fenders,??) to basically do it RIGHT without sacrificing the comfort too much.
Thanks

Keep your car stock for a while, read a lot and find out what you want to change about the stock performance before you screw your car up with bad springs.

If you drop it you need an alignment for sure and I would add a roll center correction kit as well.

+1

i'd say say drive it stock for a while and take your time figuring out exactly what you want. the car is pretty ridiculous stock, theres no reason to rush into mods but that is just my opinion.

i have considered lowering myself and have been planning on looking into this myself. i've had my evo since june and i have about 12k on her now. i have a friend with an 05 that has swifts and a friend that has an 04 with the hotchkis. Niether of them have had any major complaints that i know of, but i havent really asked either about their springs in particular.

You guys are right. I have had it for a week now and don't plan to lower it right now. I don't get that much body roll when I break it loose so I think I will wait on springs.

Forums don't rule the people posting on them do!

Take the money and do some auto-x and then you'll know when you're going to need suspension upgrades.

That is true UNLESS the person is only wanting to lower it for cosmetic reasons

4 wheel Alignment is a must, roll center will help as well. But yes like the others are saying keep it stock and see what you want.
